Calvin invited Dad on a bike ride on Saturday which he enthusiastically accepted before his brain engaged fully.
They got their bikes ready and Calvin gave him a quick lesson on shoe clips. After a little practice (very little) they were off!

They returned after about an hour with stories galore. Calvin was NOT winded, NOT sweaty, WITHOUT scrapes and smiling. His Dad however was RED faced, SWEATY and BRUISED AND BLOODY!!! He felt and looked much worse than the pictures show.
Before the "euphoria" wore off, Calvin committed Dad to another ride next Saturday "before he can forget how to work the clips!" We'll see.
