St. Patrick's Day 10K Run and a Hike

Calvin and Tod ran their third 10K this year on Saturday, March 13, and finished with the same time as their last run - 54 minutes flat!  The weather was beautiful and perfect for a run around Fiesta Island and Mission Bay.

Only 4 weeks from now until their next triathlon on April 17th in Las Vegas!  Keep up the training guys!!

Later Tod and Kim wanted to get out and enjoy the beautiful day so they went for a hike in the Elfin Forest!  Sounds enchanting - doesn't it?  Well, I'm not sure where the "forest" was but it was a great hike up the side of a mountain north of San Diego.  There was a little creek running through the main entrance area that sounded so relaxing.
Kim tried out her new CamelBak and found out how nice it is to be able to drink without using her hands.
The view part way up the mountain reminded them that civilization wasn't far away.
Many of the spring flowers were in bloom-

There were quite a few hikers and mountain bikers on the trail.  It was good to get back down the mountain without being run over!

That 10k time is pretty good old man! I hope mom let you relax on the hike, that's a lot of work for one day.
