Afternoon in the Park

Last Saturday while Kim and Kiki hosted a bread making class in our kitchen - the boys and Tod were banished to the park across the street. What a beautiful day with lots to do. AND WHAT IMAGINATIONS!!! The boys played well together - swinging, sliding and making believe!
Booker tried his hardest to look like a ferocious pirate on our pirate ship. He swings a mean sword!

We never did quite get the hang of this thing- trying to get arms and legs all going at the same time.
Then it was time to escape the pirate ship - by airplane! Off they flew...
Until they arrived at their Clubhouse. The perfect place for an afternoon treat of ... wood chips!
Lincoln would NOT eat his wood chips until we had said the prayer! He did a great job!

Then it was time to use the intercom to call for help! Lincoln loved to hear his voice echo through the pipes!
And just in case it wasn't loud enough - he got up as close as he could to make himself heard!
Finally they both needed the bathroom and we returned home to see if we could get in. Just in the nick of time the class was over and the banished pirates were allowed back in the house to use the facilities! WHEW!! What a lot of fun! It's great having Booker and Lincoln (and of course Maizie and Kiki) here visiting!! Wish they could stay longer!!!
