Tod and I went for a walk at the beach today. Something we love to do on Sunday to appreciate a little nature, smell the clean air and have time to talk about our Sabbath activities - you know, what we learned, how our lessons went etc. But on this particular day we were a little distracted. We saw I suppose what ALWAYS goes on at a beach on any particular day, but maybe we just noticed more...
Here we have a rousing game of football.
A hilarious game of volleyball,
We are not sure what this game was but they sure were knocking each other silly for that ball!
Or you might see a family playing some bongo drums and chanting with the rhythm

Then there is the thing about what to wear to the beach. It varies with the ages, the culture and believe it or not...the weather. What was this woman thinking????

From barely nothing...

To culturally something spectacular... (really, to the beach???)

To the warmest thing she could find. All this on the same day, at the same beach, at the same time. Ya wonder why I love the Shores!

You'll always find those pesky birds eating something. Usually it is someones picnic spread while they are away soaking in the cold salty waves.

Always the gold finder. Since I always see these amazing machines they must be finding something. I've just never gotten to see the "strike it rich moment".

Then of course you'll see plenty of these - unrecognizable kids - so covered in sand that it will take weeks to make it out of all "those places"!

Today, we happened upon a beautiful wedding. We just sat on the short wall behind them along with all the other spectators (notice the kayakers in the back gazing on too) and enjoyed the whole ceremony.

What's not to love in a typical day at the beach? Sabbath activity? Maybe not the perfect fit for a Sunday stroll but a memorable one for sure!
