Spring Break

Spring Break AND conference weekend - what a treat for us! Ryan Button sure missed out (sorry Ryan!) since he is still in Ohio at his training. Berni didn't like the thought of having the kids all day everyday during this no-school week so decided to share the joy with us! She and the kids drove down last Friday and stayed for 9 days. This is our Gen Conf morning. The kids had little packets to fill out about the speakers and pictures to color etc. They were so good. We had our traditional French Breakfast Puffs and eggs and then settled into our comfy chairs for a glorious session of conf.
While here Easton learned a new skill. He found a kids magnifying glass in the closet and learned to burn up tissue and leaves by being patient with the sun shinning through it. He went onto bigger and better things as the week went along including burning a hole in his sisters shorts (below) and also his brothers vest. Cool stuff Easton! Too bad your mother forbid you touch it ever again. (I love being the grandma!!!!!)
Lots of trips to the beach and Bay. Somehow doesn't matter how cold it is - the water is just too enticing.

Making a sand angel.

The best part. Getting the kids in those cold showers to rinse off. Super funny to watch.

Creedo figuring out how to work it. He got a big surprise when the overhead shower came on.

Playing twister - with 5 kids - that was entertaining.

Flying kites at the bay. We had a great picnic with Brittany and Austin and Avery one night.

Roasting marshmallows after dinner and play. It was getting dark but somehow it didn't matter. We just
found we had the park to ourselves!

This is a strange playground toy. Its purpose seems to be to knock your brains out while making you laugh.

The morning they left we played at the park to get some wiggles out before getting in the car. They built a
bunch of these cute houses out of sticks.

Sure enough - we are all "5 kids happy" around here!!

Thanks Berni for the sacrifice of coming all the way down and sharing your bundles of joy with us! It was great!

Woah dude! how long did that take?! That's amaz...ahem, I mean, son you should know better than that. Be a good boy and listen to your mother.
