Cuyamaca Peak

A day in the mountains is a great way to spend a Saturday. Tod and Calvin hiked a 5 1/2 mile trail to a peak at 6512 ft. They climbed a total of 1650 feet. They made pretty good time I'd say. The weather was about 68 with a chilly wind -thus the jackets. But sunny and gorgeous.

I sat in a chair nursing a strained muscle and feeling bad I couldn't be with them. So I brought a good book and enjoyed the great outdoors with my feet up and sunglasses on waiting for them to come back all exhausted and happy.

Ready to go!

We enjoyed a yummy picnic when they returned and wished a nap had been on the agenda.

What's a trip to the mountains without a stop at Dudleys for bread and cookies??

My favorite picture is the cutesy little wave from the two knuckleheads. Looks like they were whistling and skipping down the trail. Pretty rugged I'd say!

Hey Comin Family, this is Paul Damron. It looks like everybody is doing well. I had no idea that you still lived in San Diego. We were just there in October. The next time we visit we will try to stop by and say hi. Anyway it been good to see what everybody is up to. Take care.
