'Twas a few weeks before Christmas... and Calvin and Tod were busy putting lights on the house to make sure Santa would be able to find his way to San Diego!
Christmas Eve was going to be special with many visitors - the Messers, the Deans, the Brandon Deans, the Bunkers, 2/3s of the Malufaus, Ginger Robbins, the Vegas Comins, Calvin, and Becky Andolin. Kim had everything decorated and ready to go inside the house.
Harry (and his twin David at the other side of the door) was standing ready to welcome all the guests.
Angie kept all of the little ones mesmerized by reading Christmas stories!
Calvin and his fiance, Becky were entertained by Booker.
The kitchen was ready - with seats for all 26! Kiki did a great job of decorating the tables!
Not long after dinner - an extra special visitor made a rather loud landing on the roof and knocked on the door! He greeted all of them - at least all of them that weren't a little timid.
Austin took a little encouraging from Dad-
But left feeling like it had been worthwhile with his new dump truck in hand.
Booker acted like an old pro!
And Lincoln followed right behind! Little toy cars and trucks for all the boys!
Scout wasn't having anything to do with this guy - wouldn't leave Mama's arms!
Maizie looks like she was afraid but did just fine!
Old Santa seemed to be enjoying himself!
Little stuffed animals for all the girls including Finn and Cosette (who wouldn't even get close)!
Avery jumped right in.
Angie, Kailee and Taylor thought they might be a little old to sit on Santa's lap but he proved them wrong! They even claimed to have been good all year!

Kailee
Taylor
Then Santa started in on even the older youngsters - what a surprise!
Michiko
Cassidy
Brittany
Kiki
Becky
Calvin
BJ
Brandon - with a little pig for his job fighting the swine flu!
Jared
Kim
Sandie
Steve (known to Santa as Stevie)
And Ginger!
Then there was the next morning - not quite the pretty site it was the night before!
Christmas morning brought all kinds of toys - including these special light sabers made out of cardboard tubes from the wrapping paper. Santa sure is creative!
New Razor scooters in the park!
And two big thumbs up from Booker!
And what do you do when you get worn out from scootering - enjoy the 75 degree weather in sunny San Diego!
Later that night the Vegas Comins entertained us with a dance to some razzy music with the words "Nine-One-One" and "Fire on the dance floor" or something like that. The kids waved their glowsticks to the music and danced and SANG - at the top of their lungs! Great fun!
The next day was perfect for a trip to Mission Bay - for more scootering and playing.
Maizie was as cute a could be in her little pink tutu!
BJ and Maizie hit the swings.
And then had a little competition with Booker!
A perfect few days to celebrate Christmas! Thanks everyone for making it special. We're so blessed and grateful for the birth of Jesus and love to have this special time each year to reflect on Him and His great gift to each of us. And Maizie says - "Happy New Year!"

oh what fun! it's so hard to see everyone there having fun without us! I think Santa was being a little naughty by teasing Stevie and getting him to sit on his lap. I'm so glad you captured that moment.
wow, it looks like we really missed out. Sigh..... Hopefully next year!
so.much. fun. thank you so much. looking at the pics bring back so many funny and happy memories.:)
by the way, your christmas tree is blazing! dad, do you know how many lights are on there or was it pre-light?
What a GREAT night that was! Thanks for making it so memorable for us and the kids. The food, the decorations, the company...all so perfect! That Santa will be a tough act to follow for any future Santas. It did bring back flashbacks of awkwardly sitting on Santa Drew's lap as a sophomore. I'm so glad you took pictures since we totally dropped the ball and left ours at home. We'll have to keep coming back each year so it's not a let down for the kids. Thanks again!!
