Calvin showed us an unusual and fun trick that he learned from the Andolin family (His fiances family). We were happy he showed it to us because it proved that they are just as down to earth as we are. Its like me eating a mango - slurping and sucking and juice running down my arms etc. This is about the same. It goes like this:
Calvin shows us the tools here - hot milk, cookies called Tim Tams, a good set of sucking jaws, and an adventuresome spirit.
Dad shows us how to nibble off opposite corners of the cracker-like chocolate covered cookie to expose a soft mousse-like center.

Then you dip one corner in the hot milk and suck like crazy until the hot milk melts the mousse and brings up the hot milk.Within seconds the cookie starts to disinegrate and you stuff the falling apart cookie in your mouth before it crumbles into the hot milk. Wha La! A first successful attempt!
We all three tried it and had fun. Its really a wierd feeling when the cookie starts to melt away in your hand - dad didn't even get any chocolate on his hands. Me on the other hand ...

So glad to see this... I love goodies like this. You can also take grasshoppers or thin mint cookies and hot chocolate and do the same thing. It melts like a truffle in your mouth. :) SO very good.
my sister does this with tim tams and hot chocolate..yummy.
